In many instances, EST EST also acts as the architectural detail consultant. More recently, it has functioned as an equal member of the client's design team, working with the many participating disciplines -- the architect, builder, electrical engineers and landscape architects, as well as the lighting and graphics consultants and artwork specialists. The power of intelligent design is clearly evident in all of EST EST’s projects.

EST EST, INC. is the oldest interior design firm in Scottsdale, Arizona. Established in 1959, it has enjoyed distinguished recognition in the local residential and commercial fields, as well as with private clients and contract projects throughout the United States.

Frequently asked about the Est Est name, the story goes thus .....

Once upon a time in a long ago land, monks would travel the dusty winding trails meandering between far-flung monasteries.  In an effort to be prepared for all eventualities, each monk would send a personal scout ahead of him to check out the sleeping accommodations and eating establishments, as well as the disposition of those in the monasteries and the surrounding townships.

This scout was probably one of the first graffiti artists, for once his sleuthing was done, he would go out to the wall encompassing the monastic lands and peoples, and he would leave a message for the monk that followed - to let him know if everything was just "okay" or whether it was superb.

Quite a simple message scrawled upon a wall ...........

either "Est" meaning "it is"

or "Est Est" -- meaning "It is the very best!"
